Letter From Leadership

September 2022 ADAA Update

Sue Circle

Dear ADAA members,

October 22, 2022, is the Annual Session of the American Dental Assistants Association and all members of our association are invited to attend via zoom. You will be able to participate in hearing the status of not only our organization but the status of Dental Assistants across the country. This is the “Business” of ADAA and we want your input.

With our organizational changes to the Board of Directors, it has allowed for all ADAA members to individually vote for the Officers and Directors of ADAA Please look for emails coming from ADAA in regards to voting for the new ADAA directors and officers.

Please read their statements and make informed decisions on who will best represent you and the dental assistants in our organization and the dental assistants across the country. Look at the involvement and experience that the nominee has in both ADAA and dentistry. How will they represent you?

Watch for an email on how to vote for the nominees of ADAA and sign on to our Annual Session to hear the business of ADAA.

During my term as ADAA President, we said “Goodbye” to our former Executive Director, Jay Kasper. We wish him well!

Also, SEVEN12 Management, the management organization which ran ADAA, has merged with Kellen Management Company. They have increased our assistance and resources when needed. ADAA members will have additional contacts to speak with via phone or email for any issue they may have. Throughout this transition, there may be a few bumps in the road. We ask that you please be patient. We are looking forward to a prosperous and exciting new ADAA in years to come.

Last, I would like to thank the current Officers, Board of Directors, Committee Chairs, and Committee Members. A special thank you to those national, state, and local members who promoted ADAA at Continuing Education Programs, various conventions, and the Meeting of Dental Professionals. Your efforts are noted and appreciated. To the Officers of ADAA, a special thank you for your never-ending support, long phone calls, and discussions we have to move ADAA forward. I am proud to have served ADAA and the Dental Assistants Association this past year.

If you have any questions or concerns you are always welcome to email me at scamizzi@adaausa.org.

Best regards,

Sue Camizzi, CDA, BSDH, MSE
ADAA President
