Preventing COVID-19 Transmission in Dentistry (AGD 130)

Luci Perri, RN, BSN, MSN, MPH, CIC, FAPIC, CSPDT is the owner/president of Infection Control Results, and has more than 20 years of experience in infection prevention and control. She earned a master's degree in community health nursing, and public health from The University of South Carolina and is Board certified in infection prevention and control.  Additionally, she is a Fellow of APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology) which recognizes outstanding achievement in the field. Ms. Perri served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring from military service in 2007. As a result, she is familiar with both military and civilian healthcare settings and protocols. Ms. Perri has presented numerous infection control webinars and spoken at national and international conferences.


After participating in this program the dental professional should be able to:

  • Select personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to the task at hand.
  • List the components of an OSHA compliant respiratory protection program.
  • Describe the mitigation measures to decrease the risk of transmission to patients, staff, and visitors.
