A Prescription for Practice Success (AGD 550)

COURSE DESCRIPTION 

This webinar is APPROVED FOR ONE (1) CE CREDIT and is designed primarily for the dental office management staff to provide an overview of how to assess the performance of the dental practice in relation to established benchmarks and develop a “treatment plan” to address identified ailments. The overall wellness of the office and maintenance of a high-performance team will be highlighted.

PRINCIPAL FACULTY

Sheila A. Clancy, CDA, MBA

Sheila Clancy is a practice management consultant with over 45 years in the dental profession. She has worked as a chairside certified dental assistant as well as a treatment coordinator in several orthodontic practices. She worked as an administrator for a large multi-specialty group practice for 16 years. In 1988 she co-founded  Project Stretch, Inc: Dentistry Reaching Out to Children. Through the years she has lectured to dental teams around the country about practice management issues that impact all members of the team.

She holds a BSBA in Accounting from Northeastern University and an MBA from Babson College.

She has served at the local, state, and national level of the ADAA through the years and is currently the Audit Chair for the Indiana Dental Assistants Association.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, the dental professional should be able to:

1. Take a comprehensive health history of the dental practice.
2. Identify indicators that the dental practice is ailing (“symptoms”).
3. Describe the importance of treating these symptoms once identified.
4. Develop a treatment plan to cure all ailments.
5. Recognize how to maintain practice health for a high-performance team.
