This webinar is designed to help dental assistants understand the importance of their contribution(s) to help maintain a financially healthy dental practice.
Sheila A. Clancy, CDA, MBA
Sheila Clancy is a practice management consultant with over 45 years in the dental profession. She has worked as a chairside certified dental assistant as well as a treatment coordinator in several orthodontic practices. She worked as an administrator for a large multi-specialty group practice for 16 years. In 1988 she co-founded Project Stretch, Inc: Dentistry Reaching Out to Children. Through the years she has lectured to dental teams around the country about practice management issues that impact all members of the team.
She holds a BSBA in Accounting from Northeastern University and an MBA from Babson College.
She has served at the local, state, and national level of the ADAA through the years and is currently the Audit Chair for the Indiana Dental Assistants Association.
Upon completion of this course, the dental professional should be able to:
1. Describe the importance of all team members actively participating in the financial health of your practice.
2. Discuss a practice budget and the importance of creating and continually following one.
3. Identify what constitutes Revenue and Expenses in a practice budget.
4. Formulate ways to increase Revenue and Decrease Expenses.
5. Discuss how you as dental assistants can help to maintain a financially healthy practice.
