Beyond Ergonomics: How to Practice Pain Free (AGD 130)

This webinar is designed for dental assistants to familiarize themselves with the principles of good posture and how to correctly move, sit, and work in an ergonomic manner that will help prevent work related pain and injuries. 


Daniel Jacobazzi, PT, DC has been in private chiropractic practice for over 20 years and practicing physical therapy for another 7 years. 

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Auburn University and his chiropractic degree from Life University in Atlanta, GA in 1999 and his Master’s in Physical Therapy from Cal-State, Fresno in 2010. He has done an extensive post-graduate program of analysis and treatment which focuses on non-surgical corrective spinal remodeling care and is a lifelong learner when it comes to matters of the musculoskeletal system.


Upon completion of this course, the dental professional should be able to:

1. Define good posture and why it is important.
2. Describe how the skeletal bones, muscles, ligaments, and spinal nerves contribute to good posture.
3. Describe how to prevent injury and pain while working in the dental operatory.
4. Describe exercises and how to correctly execute them in order to relieve and/or reduce/prevent workplace injury and/or pain.
